Financial Support to Assist Your Prevention Efforts
Back-to-school is just around the corner: it’s also the perfect time to (re)focus on prevention as a top priority. Financial support is available to guide your prevention initiatives and strengthen your health and safety actions at work.
Whether you are a small business, SME, or mid-sized company, Moovency offers you an overview of the available schemes this fall in France, organized by risk category.
Why pay attention to these support schemes?
Beyond the financial aspect, these measures are part of a broader transformation of the world of work:
→ Increased strain linked to an aging workforce.
→ A significant rise in MSDs : over the past 20 years, MSDs have increased by 60%, now accounting for more than 88% of recognized occupational diseases in France. Multifactorial in origin, MSDs are linked not only to physical demands, but also to psychosocial factors and organizational constraints.
→ Stricter legal obligations around the DUERP (Single Occupational Risk Assessment Document).
Single Occupational Risk Assessment Document (DUERP)
💡 The DUERP is mandatory in all companies as soon as the first employee is hired. To complete the DUERP, the employer must first identify and assess the risks present in the workplace. This assessment must comply with the 9 general principles of prevention. The risk assessment process varies depending on the company’s size (fewer than 50 employees vs. 50 employees or more).

→ Growing employee expectations regarding Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions (QWL/WC): according to a 2024 study by the Workplace Quality of Life Observatory in France, “QWL/WC is more than ever seen as a priority for 92% of respondents, with 45% even considering it very important.”
Accessing financial support can therefore make a real difference for a company: enabling it to fund a project that might otherwise have been postponed due to budget constraints— with a direct impact on absenteeism, employee retention, and overall performance.
What types of projects can be funded in practice?
Prevention is not limited to simply purchasing equipment or providing one-off training. Many projects can be supported if they aim to reduce employees’ exposure to identified occupational risks. Here are several main types of projects that can be funded:
- Workstation adaptation: ergonomics, movements, tools.
- Training, awareness-raising and team involvement.
- Making the work environment safe: falls, handling, posture.
- Supporting major change: new equipment, new organisation.

The idea behind it? A clear prevention objective with a measurable impact: reduced exposure, increased comfort, fewer accidents, etc.
The French health insurance system (Assurance Maladie – Risques professionnels), the government and regional CARSAT organisations offer several cumulative or complementary assistance schemes, depending on the size of your company, your sector of activity and the nature of the project.

How to Maximize Your Prevention Approach?
Practical Tips:
Leverage the DUERP: Your actions should directly address the risks identified in the Single Occupational Risk Assessment Document. It serves as the foundation for implementing employer-led prevention measures, such as:
-
-
Professional risk prevention actions;
-
Employee information and training initiatives;
-
Setting up an appropriate organization and resources.
-
Quantify the expected impact: Reduction in workplace accidents and occupational illnesses, fewer absences, and productivity gains.
Demonstrate management and team commitment: A jointly developed project is more highly valued. Participatory approaches become a real driver of engagement.
Plan ahead for deadlines: Some subsidies are time-limited or allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Going further: transforming assistance into a strategic lever
As we have mentioned, these measures are not just financial assistance: they are real catalysts for change, helping to establish a sustainable approach to prevention.
At Moovency, we understand the vital importance of creating work environments that promote employee well-being, productivity and health. That’s why we support you in implementing your prevention measures.
