Frequently asked
questions

Currently, there is no specific regulation (in France) regarding the prevention of risks related to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).

However, more broadly, the French Labor Code obliges the employer to preserve the physical and mental health of their employees (Article L. 4121-1). Therefore, the employer must engage in prevention efforts and take measures to prevent occupational diseases.

This includes:

  • Actions to prevent occupational risks
  • Information and training initiatives
  • Implementation of appropriate organization and resources

It’s worth noting that the employer must undertake prevention measures to limit employees’ exposure to the risks of MSDs.

Every company has work-related risks outlined in the “document unique d’évaluation des risques” (single risk assessment document). This document has been mandatory for employers since the decree of November 5, 2001.

According to the French Labor Code (Article R4121-2), the document must be updated annually (except for companies with fewer than eleven employees). Risk assessment is a crucial step in preventing musculoskeletal disorders.

Moovency offers a range of solutions called KIMEA, which are part of a comprehensive approach to preventing MSDs.

KIMEA Cloud is the platform for analyzing and managing data captured in the field. Through the web platform, companies can build various types of projects necessary for their prevention efforts, such as a “mapping” approach, a “project management” approach, and many other use cases. Its project sharing and user management features make it an ideal tool for multi-site or multi-disciplinary organizations. To learn more about Kimea Cloud, click here.

KIMEA App is a mobile application created by Moovency, accessible with a subscription to KIMEA Cloud. It allows companies to easily capture their operators’ movements in a non-invasive manner using their smartphone’s camera. It is compatible with any smartphone with a camera. To learn more about Kimea App, click here.

KIMEA Lite captures operators’ movements using a depth camera and connected gloves. KIMEA Lite is particularly suitable for identifying and evaluating postural constraints in real-time. Real-time visualization enables better awareness and understanding of MSD risks associated with postures performed at workstations. To learn more about Kimea Lite, click here.

In addition to our technical solutions, we also offer support, services, and training in MSD prevention. Our team of ergonomists, spread across the country, visits your companies to provide analysis, advice, and recommendations. To learn more about our support services, click here.

Assessment :

KIMEA allows companies to easily map out workstations, providing an overview of the most physically demanding positions for operators.

Prioritizing Actions :

Here too, KIMEA can assist you. The solution enables ergonomists and prevention specialists to conduct biomechanical workstation analyses. With workstation mapping, you’ll know which positions, operations, and professions require priority modifications.

The tool also allows for precise analysis of joint stress at the workstation, determining which position might better suit an operator based on individual activity restrictions (such as height, included in interindividual variability).

For instance, if an operator returning from sick leave has reported carpal tunnel syndrome as an occupational disease, the tool can assign this individual to a position or activity with the least strain on the right wrist.

Finding Solutions :

From technical and organizational improvements to raising standards, and training and raising awareness among operators, Moovency’s experts can find solutions tailored to your needs.

Continuous Improvement :

Monitoring and tracking indicators are key elements of the continuous improvement of your MSD prevention policy. With KIMEA, you can easily create dashboards and generate reports. This allows you to monitor the evolution and improvement of workstations and working conditions, based on the action plans implemented.

We set up clear and efficient communication processes to keep you informed of project progress. You’ll have a dedicated point of contact to answer all your questions and track the progress of each project and order.

Yes, we understand the importance of offering personalized support to our customers. That’s why we assign each company a dedicated ergonomist who follows them throughout their journey with our services. This ergonomist is there to answer all your questions, resolve any problems and guide you in the optimal use of our solutions.

This training is specially designed to familiarize you with our tools, provide you with the knowledge you need to use them effectively, and enable you to optimize your internal processes. Our aim is to give you all the keys you need to take full advantage of our solutions right from the start.

Our KIMEA Cloud solution is a SaaS solution, with a usual subscription period of one year. Your Carsat : “Caisse d’assurance retraite et de la santé au travail” (Retirement and Occupational Health Insurance Fund) or Cramif : “Caisse régionale d’assurance maladie d’Île-de-France” (Regional Health Insurance Fund for Île-de-France) may grant you a subsidy called prevention subsidy to help reduce your employees’ exposure to frequent risks.

For example: back pain, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), falls from height, exposure to dangerous chemicals.

The subsidy allows for the purchase of training services or risk assessments and/or prevention equipment.

The Ameli website provides information on the prevention subsidy.

Prevention contract

If a national objectives convention has been signed by your sector, you can establish a prevention contract with your Carsat or Cramif.
